This datasheet of LAURAMID B from Evonik Industries AG is provided by the international plastics database CAMPUS.
CAMPUS is organized by a group of leading international resin producers, who have agreed to test their material according to uniform conditions, based on ISO standards (ISO 10350, ISO 11403), in order to offer comparable data to the market.
Resin: DIN-16880-PA 12G
LAURAMID® is a polyamide 12 produced from laurinlactam by the lactam
casting method. The low viscosity melt fills the mold without pressure and
is polymerized in the mold. This procedure excludes the use of regenerated
material.
The test bars were prepared by machining from cast plaques.
LAURAMID® molded materials, profiles, ready made parts and Systems were
prepared by:
Albert Handtmann ELTEKA GmbH & Co. KG.
Every delivered part from A.Handmann is checked by X-ray diagnosis.
LAURAMID® B exhibits, due to its very low water absorption, very good
hydrolysis resistance: good dimensional stability, tear resistance and
chemical resistance as well as an outstanding creep resistance.
Application examples: Cogs, sprockets and spiral drive wheels,
rollers, propellers, cleaner parts, pump parts.
